Le Mercrundi launches the Échappée Vosgienne adventure in Gérardmer
In Gérardmer, in the heart of the Vosges mountains, L'Échappée Vosgienne is preparing to open its doors on June 13, 2025. This future hotel and restaurant with a sporting focus, nestled in a natural setting, promises to be a benchmark for all those who love to exercise, push themselves, or simply enjoy the great outdoors.
Run + Wednesday = Mercrundi, the weekly event!
Every week, Mercrundis brings together participants of all levels who come to run or cycle around Gérardmer. Whether the sun is shining or the weather is more unpredictable, the desire to get together and share a good time remains the same. The atmosphere is friendly, the scenery is superb, and smiles are always on the agenda.
The event has been a great success for several years now. Around fifteen athletes meet regularly to discover or rediscover iconic routes in the surrounding area, in an atmosphere that is both sporty and relaxed. People come to exercise, but also to chat, motivate each other, and build relationships.

Top athletes in attendance
Mercrundi has already attracted the attention of many enthusiasts, as well as big names in Vosges sports. Amandine Mangin, a rising star in French biathlon, took part in the adventure, as did Romain Vaxelaire, recently crowned French cross-country skiing champion for 2025. Their presence is testament to the interest that L'Échappée Vosgienne is already generating in the regional sporting community.
This mix of experienced athletes and enthusiastic amateurs perfectly reflects the spirit of the place: a space accessible to all, focused on the enjoyment of sport, nature, and well-being.
L’Échappée Vosgienne, soon to be a unique place to live in Gérardmer
While waiting for the official opening, Mercrundi is offering curious visitors a sneak preview of what L'Échappée Vosgienne will be like. Starting in June, the establishment will welcome its first visitors in a setting designed with them in mind: comfortable rooms adapted for athletes, a healthy and gourmet restaurant, training and recovery areas, the possibility of organizing seminars, and direct access to the most beautiful playgrounds in the Hautes-Vosges.
L’Échappée Vosgienne will be much more than just a hotel: it will be a real base camp for lovers of sport, mountains, and conviviality.
