Nordic’Trail: three nature trails starting from La Bresse

The Nordic’Trail in La Bresse: a must-see trail running event in the Vosges mountains
Over the years, the Nordic’Trail in La Bresse has established itself as one of the major sporting events in the Vosges mountains. Created in 2014, this event was designed to showcase the mountain trails around La Bresse in the Hautes-Vosges, while bringing together a community of enthusiasts in a friendly atmosphere. It takes place every year in mid-July, in the heart of summer, on the wooded heights and trails of the Ténine Nordic ski area, just a few minutes from Gérardmer.
Born out of a desire to bring the mountains to life outside of winter, the Nordic'Trail now offers runners a great balance between sporting challenge, wild nature, and careful organization, with several formats accessible to all. Year after year, the event attracts a growing number of participants, who come to experience the raw beauty of the Vosges mountains, with their deep forests, open ridges, and breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys.

From 10 km to 42 km: an adventure for everyone

• 10 km trail / 500 m elevation gain The10 km course is ideal for beginners or those who want to discover trail running in a mountain setting. With an elevation gain of 500 meters, this circuit offers a quick immersion into the Vosges landscapes, combining forest trails and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Refreshments will be available at the finish line to recharge your batteries. 

• 20 km trail / 1,000 m elevation gain
  The 20 km course is designed for runners with some trail running experience. With 1,000 meters of elevation gain, it passes through iconic sites such as the Bramont hatchery, where refreshments will be available at kilometer 8. Participants will enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the Vosges mountain range, offering both a technical and visual challenge. 

• 42 km trail / 2,200 m elevation gain
  The 42 kmmarathon course is designed for experienced trail runners. With an elevation gainof 2,200meters, it offers a complete immersion in the Hautes-Vosges. Runners will pass through key points such as the Ténine biathlon stadium (refreshments at km 12), Belle Hutte (refreshments and time gate at km 23), and the Bramont hatchery (refreshments at km 31). This demanding route combines steep climbs, technical descents, and breathtaking scenery.
